Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the release of the notification for the Primary and Junior Level Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for July 2023. Aspiring candidates who wish to take the CTET exam in July 2023 can apply online between 27th April and 26th May 2023. Payment Options: Examination fees can be paid through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking or E-Challan.

 

Details of Eligibility Criteria for CBSE CTET July 2023 Exam

 

Eligibility Criteria and code for CTET Primary Level (Class I to V):

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE 2002 Norms OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR
  • Bachelor's degree graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). Candidates who have acquired the qualification of Bachelor of Education from any NCTE recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V. However, the person appointed as a teacher shall mandatorily undergo a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two years of such appointment as a primary teacher OR
  • Post-Graduation with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in the final year of the three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.

 

 

Eligibility Criteria and code for CTET Junior Level (Class VI to VIII)

  • Bachelor's degree and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
  • At least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post-Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE norms.
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in a 1-year B.Ed./(B.Ed Special Education).
  • Any candidate having qualified the B.Ed. programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET.
  • Post-Graduation with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in the final year of a 3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. program.

  • The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper I to V & VI to VIII 2023.
  • Candidates can apply online from 27/04/2023 to 26/05/2023.
  • Note: This year the exam centers are limited in every city, and candidates can see the live information while filling the form. Candidates are advised to apply as soon as possible to get their nearest exam center/city because the slots of the exam city are limited.
